Christmas Wish List

Christmas Time is almost here again.
I cant believe it, the music and trees are going
up everywhere even before Thanksgiving this year.
I of course don't mind this since I just Adore
Christmas and Christmas in NY just makes it better.
So here is my Christmas wish List for this
year Saint Nick.
***
Restoration Hardware Belgian Slope Sofa.
It's like sitting on Heaven.

Crosley record player from Brookstone.

2 Books I swear I'll get around to reading if
I find them under the tree, ha ha.
I keep looking through both of these every time I walk into
the book store.

When we go to Paris I want to stay here;
Hotel Plaza Athenee.

Louis Vuitton W bag.
This is so classic and stylish. I mean come on!
How can you not instantly fall in love.

pop-Fizz-Clink gold necklace
from Kate Spade. Because it's my personality
wrapped up in three little words. I'm not a necklace gal but
I think this is so cute and fun.

Vintage Channel Jacket/sweater I found
in Greenwich CT

 These speak for themselves...

A refill on my favorite perfume
Light Blue.

Mauviel Copper Gratin

A new subscription to Town and Country.

TCM Bonhams Auction

Maltese Falcon Statuette to Headline Bonhams and TCM's
"What Dreams Are Made Of: A Century of Movie Magic at Auction,
as Curated by Turner Classic Movies"Rare Cinematic Treasures to be Sold at Auction Nov. 25 in New York,
with Portion of Proceeds Going to The Film Foundation.
I have been a classic movie fan most of my life.
I watched the Maltese Falcon again last night since
it was playing on TCM.  I cant wait to go and sit in and see
these amazing artifacts that I grew up loving.
I've collected classic film postures starting before college.
it's hard to find authentic original's. I have the beautiful Brigadoon,
Darby O Geal and the little people,
Cheaper by the dozen, Road to Morocco and Easter Parade.
They mean so much to me, and it's amazing that these items are still around
because the studios back in the 20's,30's and 40's weren't concerned at all with
preserving  memorabilia from their films.  They used and reused not letting anything
go to waist.
Please sign up at the Bonham's website so you can go and see and maybe
bid on these amazing artifacts of movie history.

Time Out NYC

My Dearest David was published in Time Out NY for his fabulous
style blog Masculine Manhattan. I'm very happy for him and excited.
The other night we all went out for to celebrate his Birthday and this
wonderful news.  We had dinner at Rosemary's on Greenwich and then
went to the Brandy Library in Tribeca.  It was a wonderful evening.
Love you sweets. Congrats!.

Thanksgiving.

Thanksgiving this year will not be spent at home,
something that is very bittersweet. I
love going back to North Carolina for
Thanksgiving.  We will be flying down 2 weeks after
for my brothers wedding so we decided to spend it
up here in the city.  I'm so excited to have a wonderful
dinner with close friends and walk around the city
seeing it transition into the Christmas Season.
We will be having dinner at Saxon+Parole, a
fabulous equestrian inspired restaurant at Bowery/Bleaker street.

Last Thanksgiving with the Fam...

...and then it began to snow...

This morning I woke up and it was snowing.
There are still flowers in the planters and bright leaves on
a few selected trees.  It was beautiful to sit
by the window with coffee and just watch it fall.

Seasons Come and go so quickly...

Here are some beautiful
shots of Fall in Westchester.
One thing I do miss from the South
is the smell of burning leaves. It's equivalent
to the smell of freshly cut grass in the Summer.
I miss that.
