Tess of the D'urbervilles.

***
I cant stop thinking about this BBC series Tess of D'urbervilles.
This is the 2008 Version, starring Gemma Arterton (James Bond: Quantum of Solace), Eddie Redmayne (The Other Boleyn Girl) and Hans Matheson (The Tudors).
Downton Abby has nothing to compare to this little four part
series, its a passionate, sensual and very modern version
of Thomas Hardy's infamous novel.
I experienced every emotion you can imagine watching
series, it's truly Brilliant.  Plus yes ive always had
a very Large thing for Eddie Redmayne who plays Angel.
He  is indeed out of a Jane Austin novel.
Gemma Arterton As far as literary characters go plays the Character Tess who warns young women to the wild ways of men and inspires all to strive for honesty.
The morality implicit to the story is made apparent in this BBC version, and leaves the viewer questioning the effectiveness of Tess’s stringent moral sense, especially by today’s different sexual standards.
This is a series that does combine young, upcoming acting talent with recognisable and much-loved faces. When the beautiful and innocent Tess Durbeyfield is driven by family poverty to claim kinship with the wealthy D'Urbervilles and seek a portion of their family fortune, meeting the manipulative Alec proves to be her downfall... And mine.  I watched all of them in one seating and could'nt stop myself. I laughed, smiled, and felt dire sadness when certain circumstances with Tess prevailed over her and her true love.

Tony's BIG 30

So my boo Tony turned
30 this weekend.  I made a very special
lunch for him including lit red velvet cupcakes
and a few gifts. I surprised him with Drinks at Restaurant 42
in White Plains at the Ritz
and then went to Addicted to Ink
where we had each others initials tattooed on our wrist.
Completely out of my comfort zone...I loved it! and so did he.
I guess we better since they wont be coming off anytime soon.
We woke up on Sunday morning
early and strolled in Central park with coffee, then had
brunch at the fabulous Alice's Tea cup on the East side.
we watched the 3pm show of Once and finished on
Houston street at Emilio's Ballato. We had the whole
restaurant to ourselves for about 45 min before the crowd
started flooding in.  It was so romantic and sweet.
Food, Superb, Company?... Perfect!

homemade Christmas Decorations.

This year for myself as well for Gifts
I decided to make some homemade
Christmas Decorations. Their personal and fun.
It's just like working in a shadow box but smaller.
I take left over jewelry boxes or the cardboard
packages my oil paints come in and Walla!
you have your little box to work with.
I used a bridesmaid necklace I knew I wouldn't
wear again to hold them on the tree.
They make the perfect gift.

Friends

***
***
Friends.  David Edralin, A very dear friend of both
mine and Tony's has been such a blessing in my life.
He has taught me a lot about friendship and what it
really means to be one.
Friendship is a feeling of love and affection of one person for another.
This feeling of love must be reciprocated. Otherwise friendship cannot be possible. Friendship does not exist where tastes, feelings and sentiments are not similar.
"It is said that a friend in need is a friend in deed.
There may be many friends at the time of prosperity.
But most of them desert at the time of adversity.
We can examine the sincerity of a friend during our time of hardship and trouble.
Only a sincere and faithful friend remains with us at the time of our trouble.
All others leave us. It is very painful when our friends turn traitors."
Good friends exercise good influence. They always help their friends, in distress and inspire them to walk on the right path. But evil friends ruin us completely.

That's my Brother

Hehe.
A liberal buddy of mine at work discovered that his first paycheck this year went down drastically (he said the social security tax increased). He talked in a confused manner explaining that he thought only the rich were getting taxed, and that he didn't vote for this. Geez. I told him "Dude, this is EXACTLY what you voted for." The middle class will disappear and Obama and like-minded folk will be thrilled about it. I would personally like to thank everyone who voted for Obama and other Democrat politicians. I look forward to making less money to support my family in order to make sure worthless human beings live in a comfortable manner, not to mention the possibility of losing what few freedoms we still have. Control hungry president + weak, feeble republicans + low information voters = less money & higher taxes. Of course, it would be tough for anyone to win an election against a President who gives away free stuff. He won the battle by speaking to the low information, low intelligent voters; and man did it work. Hell, Californians voted to raise taxes on themselves. Please, take more of my money so that a corrupt government can misuse and mismanage it, and continue to increase the debt. That's the kind of people voting for this new, "progressive" America. Hmmm. Not a fan. The idea of hard work and freedom is soooo foreign to many of these folks. It's sad, actually, because conservatism and capitalism are both so heavily misunderstood by the low information voters that they miss out on the beauty of the two combined. It works. Socialism doesn't.

Obama "rules" with fear, and his number one ally; the news media. For him to succeed, there will always have to be some crisis that needs attending to, such as this recent garbage with the "fiscal cliff." Naturally, the situation will be so dire that there won't be time for Congress to actually read or research any bill being passed to fix (or patch/make worse) the crisis. If a bill Obama supports doesn't pass or get agreed to, he simply points to the House and blames them for whatever comes after that. Either way, the economy continues to tank and Obama gains more executive power and influence.

Haha Obama actually told the House majority leader that we do not have a spending problem (and he's tired of hearing that), but that the deficeit got out of control due to flaws in the healthcare system; and he's fixed that. I am so depressed my fellow Americans voted for this Dumbo looking clown parading as a leader. Ugh.......frustrating.

Oh man. Have you heard all the rumors in Washington today about Obama possibly using an Executive order to ban assault rifles? Some analysts feel that the Biden interview today may even suggest a semi automatic assault rifle recall - as in the government will come to your home and demand your high powered rifle (or demand you turn them in). I have a hard time believing that could ever happen, but I am slowly starting to no longer be surprised by anything this administration does. Haha could you imagine a bunch of government running dogs sending their minions out to collect guns from the folk here in western North Carolina? Well, that would be one way to reduce the number of government employees. Maybe it would be a good thing ha! Just kidding..... I guess the second amendment to the Constitution of the United States isn't as important as an executive order. Folks, we are being overrun and destroyed by the very people that took an oath to protect us. This destruction will happen fast: so hold on, grab your ankles, and consider all the facts before picking a side of this new civil war. All this "we need to love and understand each other and just get along" stuff will go out the window if the government comes after our guns. I hope and pray our government does not make that mistake.
