Friday though not the start of the week was a perfect start to MY Birthday week.
Tony and I went to the Club Car for dinner and met with friends and had a really great time then went down to the water and boats. Beautiful night.
Saturday we drove to the city for a little shopping but the real reason was for our massage appointment with the brilliant and Fabulous Roxanne. She is also at Dr. Andre Farah's office in Queens on Wed where I usually go. No matter how many silly spas you go to you will never get the knowledge and treatment you will receive from this woman.
So.....lets see afterwards we both drank a gallon of water through Central Park and ended up at the top of the O so fabulous Madrine O-Hotel on Columbus Circle where we had chocolate for days and glasses of Don-Perignon. What a treat. We strolled back to the car taking our time, catching a few runway shows on the big screens outside the MET (what a trooper Tony love) We drove to the M-Packing district, down JANE's cobblestone Street to our old faithful The Bakehouse restaurant. The food here is extremely uncomplicated straight forward great American food made and prepared with the best ingredients. Sometimes you just need uncomplicated .
We ate on the porch watching the foot traffic cross the west side highway.
Across the river a large firework show erupted from nowhere. How romantic and wonderful. We watched finishing our wine then walked across the street to the river and saw the rest of the show on a boardwalk bench. O that Man I love him so.
Sunday after Mass had a little brunch with Father Grafity who will be working with Tony and me through our wedding planning . He's so jolly, very dear and lovely.
We went up county past North Salem for beautiful little Annabel's 1st birthday BBQ. When we drove up we saw 100's of little girls in their princess outfits covered in cake running around everywhere and getting into everything. The face painting was so precious.
Today, Monday headed to Lincoln Center for a great wine tasting with Brian and Fatima MacManimon, the executive Chef of the club car. This woman is so funny and she makes me laugh
Like crazy. Ahhhhh I love my birthday week. Tony's working late every night this week but I'm sure we'll do our traditional X2O on the 11th. Our first date and the night I turned 30.
Have a GREAT week! I'm already on my way there!
