"0 Sweet Lorraine"

What a beautiful Fall day today. Maybe not as crisp as it should
be yet but still lovely.  I started organizing my room, packing stuff
away in boxes when I came across a box heaped with cards and little notes &
letters.  A lot from my past, some that made me cry when I read words
I hadn't remember and maybe, some I didn't want too.  I laughed in my gut (I mean really laughed, from my sisters and Reagan mostly)
some I had altogether forgotten and that old memory
came back fresh.
I keep a little box full of notes written from Tony, I found it.
There are letters and poetry written from him to me on napkins, envelopes, torn paper and even graph paper. I recollected all of them, read and remembered....I could recall
the details of these little notes.  What the day was like, where he gave them to me and why.
How soon we forget sometimes.  Best thing about him is he lives in today. I
make it harder on myself and live in the future, always questioning always worrying.
But like what dear Marila says to Anne while in her room at Green Gables
"you cant change what God determines."
So why stress yourself? O I know, so you can feel like you had
something to do with the outcome.
ha-ha I'm already to old to be taught new tricks.
Today is almost gone and I'll wake up tomorrow morning thinking I cant
believe another day is here again
"It's not what the world holds for you, but what you bring to it."
I'm making the biggest effort to cherish
everyjuncture every occasion and uncomplicated moment.
When I watched this video it stole my heart. It's how we are and I hope it's how we will always be with one another.
A 96 year old man whose wife of 75 years recently passed away writes a song for her. So touching. So beautiful. Please Watch it.

Anna princess

To my sweetest Anna.  It's so hard to believe you went to heaven
A year ago.  O my sweetest Anna I know you're a beautiful talkative princess
With hot pink sparkley wings. I miss your wet beautiful kisses.

Dutchess County Fair

Tony took me upstate near the end of August
for the fair. There was 18th-19th century machines, Dog shows,
4-H shows, Horse shows, rides that I actually cried on and refuse to
ever go on one again!  I always say that though ha-ha.
Fried Food everywhere, I was on a very personal hunt for a hand-dipped corn dog,
found it by 9PM.  That's how big the fair grounds were.
My favorite was the freshly squeezed lemonade.
The animals were so cute and all the 4-H boys and girls
parading around their winning ribbons.
A really fun day.

32

Turning thirty something next week....Honestly after 30
you don't want to think about it until 36 sneaks up and then you wish you
had celebrated being under 35 a little more.
I punched in the number 32,
Wikipedia came up with,
32 (thirty-two) is the natural number following 31 and preceding 33.
ha-ha.  But there are a lot of great things linked to the number 32.

 Example:
-The number of completed, numbered piano sonatas by Ludwig van Beethoven
-The jersey number 32 has been retired by several North American sports teams in honor of past    playing greats
-The traditional 32 counties of Ireland
-The number of teeth of a full set of teeth in an adult human, including wisdom teeth
-in mathematics 32 is the ninth happy number.
-In the Kabbalah, there are 32 Kabbalistic Paths of Wisdom.
-The New York Giants retired 32 for Al Blozis, who left the team to serve with the United States Army in World War II and was killed in action in 1945.

US OPEN. Grandfather Frank Smith

I really do enjoy going to the Tennis Matches in Queens.
I feel like I really missed out on something, given that my whole
family attended college for Tennis and most went on to become
Tennis professionals, Yes even my Uncle Robbie Smith is in the Tennis Hall of Fame
in Atlanta GA.  I on the other hand have hardly held a racket , except to swat
at bees, in North Carolina of course.  You would probable be
arrested for something like that here in NY.
My Mom who is a great Tennis player herself sent me a few pictures of my
Grandfather, Frank Smith. He went the Saint Johns University here in
NY for Tennis.
