Newport

Tony and I had planned to go to Newport
for St. Paddy's day but because of an unfortunate car
accident we had to postpone it. It ended up working in our favor
because we rescheduled it on restaurant week. Pretty much
all we did was EAT. three course meals three times a day, it was
crazy. we were finally able to get a reservation at the spiced pear
it's the first "summer cottage" on the Cliff walk and the view is so
whimsical, right out of a nautical painting. We also ate at other fabulous places like
22 Bowen, Skell's and Shells, the Red Parrot and many more...
We did a lot of hiking and walking and
of course antiquing. It really doesn't take a whole lot to entertain me especially
when your in a beautiful little town like Newport.

"We'll always have Summer..."

***
He came up and kissed me on my forehead, and before he stepped away, I closed my eyes and tried hard to memorize this moment. I wanted to remember him exactly as he was right then, how his arms looked, how everything looked and the way his hair was cut a little too short in the front.
Then he was gone.

Just for that moment, the thought that I might never see him again… it felt worse than death. I wanted to run after him. Tell him anything, everything. Just don’t go. Please just never go. Please just always be near me, so I can at least see you.

Because it felt final. I always believed that we would find our way back to each other every time. That no matter what, we would be connected—by our history. But this time, this last time, it felt final. Like I would never see him again, or that when I did, it would be different, there would be a mountain between us.

I knew it in my bones. That this time was it. I had finally made my choice, and so had he. He let me go, which I expected. What I didn’t expect was to feel so much grief.

Easter

Easter Sunday was such a beautiful day.
Tony and I drove around for awhile had a few cocktails
at stonebarns and ate dinner in North Salem.
It was a familiar feeling day, one I feel ive had
before.  I love Easter and the Lent season.  It truly is
a beautiful time for Christians to reflect and Love.

Today I met an old friend...

I went to Brevard College
with Mr. Micheal Martin AKA Mexi haha.  He called
me Wolfey.  We became wonderful friends our
freshmen year and after that we never really
had the chance to see one other, life happened.
It was such a treat for him
and his beautiful wife Chrissy to come up and
visit.  We had the whole day together.
You havent changed a bit Mexi.

Yankee Doodle Dandy!?

***
On Friday evening I made Tony and myself
a fabulous dinner.  Steak (of course) with
arugula and homemade blue cheese dressing.
He kept asking me if I wanted to go out?  He knows me well enough
to know when i have my lounge clothes on by 5pm there is
no hope of getting me out of the house.  I didn't know it then but
the poor man was improvising in his mind.
I said "look i recorded Yankee Doodle Dandy!" in a very excited tone. But he
loves it because I have recruited him into the fabulous world of black and white
classics.  Musicals especially.  Tony will even admit he wants
to be Gene Kelly.  So after dinner we snuggled up and started watching the film.
He was fidgeting and being, quite frankly, annoying.  more then half way through the movie
I'm pretty sure in the middle of "Glory Hallelujah" and the boy scouts saluting to
"It's a Grand ole Flag" He gets down on his knees and starts purposing to me.
I had no idea what was going on and i actually shushed him, ha-ha, the poor guy.
Then i kind of got it, everything was just so wonderful and funny and perfectly ME, no perfectly US.
The ring is breathtaking! He is so charming, reliable, funny, God-loving and sensitive, all in one big attractive manly package.
We popped Champagne and called all our friends and Family.

It's incredible how things happen and work out.  I love this Man SO SO much.
and i cant believe I'm an engaged woman now!  I cant wait to see what the next 100 years takes
us.  I love you my Darling.

Baptism

Amanda and Anthony Antonellis
picked a beautiful day to baptise their little girl Anabel
in the catholic church.  But before that sacrament happened another
one would take place.  Amanda had a little surprise in store for Anthony
and they got remarried inside the church before baptising their
baby girl. Witnessing such beautiful love between to people
really does make your realize there is "only one world" and
we all must make the best of it.
Congratulations to you both.
LOVE YOU!.
