Easter

Easter Sunday was such a beautiful day.
Tony and I drove around for awhile had a few cocktails
at stonebarns and ate dinner in North Salem.
It was a familiar feeling day, one I feel ive had
before.  I love Easter and the Lent season.  It truly is
a beautiful time for Christians to reflect and Love.

Today I met an old friend...

I went to Brevard College
with Mr. Micheal Martin AKA Mexi haha.  He called
me Wolfey.  We became wonderful friends our
freshmen year and after that we never really
had the chance to see one other, life happened.
It was such a treat for him
and his beautiful wife Chrissy to come up and
visit.  We had the whole day together.
You havent changed a bit Mexi.
love ya Doll!.

Yankee Doodle Dandy!?

***
On Friday evening I made Tony and myself
a fabulous dinner.  Steak (of course) with
arugula and homemade blue cheese dressing.
He kept asking me if I wanted to go out?  He knows me well enough
to know when i have my lounge clothes on by 5pm there is
no hope of getting me out of the house.  I didn't know it then but
the poor man was improvising in his mind.
I said "look i recorded Yankee Doodle Dandy!" in a very excited tone. But he
loves it because I have recruited him into the fabulous world of black and white
classics.  Musicals especially.  Tony will even admit he wants
to be Gene Kelly.  So after dinner we snuggled up and started watching the film.
He was fidgeting and being, quite frankly, annoying.  more then half way through the movie
I'm pretty sure in the middle of "Glory Hallelujah" and the boy scouts saluting to
"It's a Grand ole Flag" He gets down on his knees and starts purposing to me.
I had no idea what was going on and i actually shushed him, ha-ha, the poor guy.
Then i kind of got it, everything was just so wonderful and funny and perfectly ME, no perfectly US.
The ring is breathtaking! He is so charming, reliable, funny, God-loving and sensitive, all in one big attractive manly package.
We popped Champagne and called all our friends and Family.

It's incredible how things happen and work out.  I love this Man SO SO much.
and i cant believe I'm an engaged woman now!  I cant wait to see what the next 100 years takes
us.  I love you my Darling.

Markys Birthday

Baptism

Amanda and Anthony Antonellis
picked a beautiful day to baptise their little girl Anabel
in the catholic church.  But before that sacrament happened another
one would take place.  Amanda had a little surprise in store for Anthony
and they got remarried inside the church before baptising their
baby girl. Witnessing such beautiful love between to people
really does make your realize there is "only one world" and
we all must make the best of it.
Congratulations to you both.
LOVE YOU!.

Winter Storm Nemo

New Rochelle NY.
Here are a few pictures of home in Westchester
from the winter storm.  It was so much fun
being the first to step into the fresh undisturbed snow.

Random Thoughts...

I found this on another blog called "Gypsy Me". I read it, then I read it again.  I have done everything suggested in this quote one way or another.
It's very cold here today in Westchster, just got hit by the snowstorm Nemo and I'm snuggled in bed with my hot lemon tea. after I finish that I'll have some champagne I'm chilling in my bathroom windowsill.  I took many pictures already but the sun and blue sky just popped out so I'm annoyed  because I already stripped my three layers of clothing off and feeling unmotivated now. So I will stay here instead of getting the perfect photograph. It's called laziness a word I have become very well acquainted with lately. I hear it in my head all the time. just like my Turning 30 blog...
I feel so inspired and uninspired at the same time.  I am constantly telling myself do something extraordinary today with this very very short life you have.  I'm very hard on myself, but i guess not hard enough because
i would have my body of paintings finished by now.
ahhh another day gone.
Sometimes I'll go into my studio for five minutes and just
stare at a painting Ive started and leave. Then I think about it for 3 or 4 days before i actually
do anything to it.
I have such an incredible man in my life that inspires me to be the
best version of myself.  He is my cheerleader. I always say to him he has a Romantic Readiness that doesn't exist anymore, except in the Jane Austin or Charles Dickens novel.  This quote describes Tony to his fullness.
"I'll tell you...what real love is. It is blind devotion, unquestioning self-humiliation, utter submission, trust and belief against yourself and against the whole world, giving up your whole heart and soul to the smiter."
Charles Dickens, Great Expectations
